Blueflint (Scotland)

Blueflint began in 2003 as a duo based around the warm ethereal harmonies of Deborah Arnott and Clare Neilson and raw, honest and beautifully-crafted songs. In 2008 they added fiddle, double-bass and drums to create the atmospheric Blueflint sound. Their critically acclaimed third album, ‘Stories from Home‘ (produced by Paul Savage) established them as an alt-folk act to watch, with eclectic stories of relationships, parenthood and home town life. Recent live performances include ‘The BBC Quay Sessions with Edith Bowman,’ and BBC Radio 2’s ‘Drivetime" Having toured with The Proclaimers and as part of the ‘Made in Scotland 2013‘ Showcase, and with sell-out Edinburgh Fringe performances, the band has grown into a singular and unique act with prestigious bookings such as Celtic Connections and Edinburgh’s Hogmanay Street Party.
